Investment Strategy

Corum’s ultimate objective is to create a broadly based property development and investment company. The company aims to build a portfolio through both direct development and the acquisition of existing assets requiring intensive asset management, with completed projects being held as long term investments.

Corum invests across all property sectors, including office, retail and distribution assets, principally in the UK, although where there is potential  to extract above average returns, the Directors will consider overseas opportunties.

Acquisitions are made using a combination of the company’s own equity and external debt, albeit that the level of gearing is maintained at modest levels with income producing properties delivering an ongoing cash surplus, after repayment of interest, to support investment in existing and new opportunities.

Whilst the philosophy is to hold assets for the long term, Corum will make selective disposals of properties where it believes that this is in the best interests of shareholders and where the proceeds can be profitably invested elsewhere.
